City of Mammoth Spring's Melissa Rogers Filed Chapter 13 Bankruptcy
Last June, Mammoth Spring resident, Dave Campbell, asked a question on a billboard sign after a terrifying experience at the 04/01/24 City Council meeting. Melissa's last name was not disclosed on the billboard sign. According to Melissa, the question "prompted numerous texts and phone calls" to her "and her family," indicating Melissa's popularity. Another indicator of Melissa's popularity: her friend, who works for a radio station in Cherokee Village, erroneously announced on her morning radio show, Injunctions were filed against Dave and Dawn Campbell for committing defamation on a billboard sign. Is this America where one is innocent until proven guilty? Campbells didn't get a hearing before being judged by Lauren Siebert, who apparently is not a Constitutional Reporter at her website; HallmarkTimes (not associated with Hallmark). The Radio Station and Hallmark Times never retracted their lie, as far as I know.
Has anyone ever heard Lauren Siebert, or that station announce another civil case? To my knowledge, Ms. Siebert only announces criminal cases. Mrs. Rogers and Mammoth Spring Police Chief James Turnbough filed twin Strategic Lawsuits Against Public Participation (SLAPP) against Dave and Dawn Campbell on 07/16/24. The SLAPP suits each contained Injunction requests, which originally alleged a defamatory "message, which states, 'Jamie and Melissa get it on.'" Mr. McGinnes, from Cherokee Village (Brother-in-Law to Jody Shackelford), certified on 07/15/24 he served Dave and Dawn Campbell via email, mail and personal service; none of which occurred.
The SLAPP suits were discovered on 07/19/24 when Ms. Siebert's erroneous report was announced, which caused Dave Campbell to display a message on a billboard sign opposing the eroneous "Jamie and Melissa get it on" statement. After being called out, Mr. McGinnes changed the statement in James' and Melissa's Injunction Requests to the actual question asked by Campbells. The Campbells' pending counterclaims against Melissa Rogers were filed 08/23/24. Melissa Rogers filed for Chapter 13 Bankruptcy on 10/04/24. Mrs. Rogers violated the Automatic Stay and Campbells lost resources defending Mrs. Rogers' 10/16/24 Motion for Summary Judgment.
